Booking terms

Reservations
A reservation is confirmed when we send written confirmation. A deposit of 50% of the booking total is charged at the time of booking; the remaining balance is charged to the same card on the scheduled date shown in your booking confirmation, 60 days before arrival. Bookings made within 60 days of arrival are charged in full at the time of booking.
Rates & tax
Rates are per room per night and include Japanese consumption tax. The Nagano prefectural accommodation tax is charged in addition, per guest per night at the statutory rate, and is shown before you confirm.
Cancellation
Bookings are non-refundable once the deposit has been paid. Winter dates cannot be resold at short notice, and we recommend travel insurance for every stay.
Check-in / out
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 10:00.
Children
Welcome. Extra-bed and infant policies are shown at booking.
Conduct
This is a small shared lodge. We ask guests to be considerate of the other eight rooms, particularly early and late.

Privacy

We collect only what a booking needs: name, contact details, stay dates, payment details processed by our payment provider, and anything you tell us in order to be looked after properly.

We do not sell data. We do not share it beyond the providers who run our booking and payment systems. The Journal list is separate — you can leave it in one click, and we then keep only the suppression record needed to make sure we never email you again.
